http://www.kanzenshuu.com/2015/10/19/resurrection-f-funimation-home-release-quick-facts/ Most people would guess exactly what I'm talking about... in FnF, Toriyama had Frieza say he has a power level of 1.3 million. But Youtubers such as Alex from Unreal Entertainment keeps on defending Toriyama and say he believes in whatever he says, but at the same time they crap all over GT for the same reasons as super, but they love super because of Toriyama's involvement. What's up with all the hate and love? |

Some..some fans tend to glorify Toriyama as the ultimate saiyan(kay, maybe not saiyan but u get the point) To me, I view Super = GT In GT, except some designs like Giru, Toriyama had almost no involvement With Super, no different The vintage "Toriyama's touch" or soul was missing As an ordinary anime/manga, Super might get a pass But with the Tag DragonBall, there's a certain standard bearer (DBZ, easily the best action anime that revolutionized shounen genre) and thats where Super fails to attain. |

I don't get this either. The Cell Saga is one of the most contrived storylines I've ever seen with everything happening only because of more idiotic character decisions and contrivances. Seriously, just look at the future timeline, with all the stuff Goku & company can do from the afterlife, there's no f***ing way the Androids could've rampaged that long before getting annihilated. The Boo Saga, while having some good development for Vegeta and a couple good fight scenes, dragged on for far too long and Boo himself doesn't get even remotely interesting until he interacts with Mister Satan, after that he's basically Cell but better at absorbing s***. If anything, BoG proves Toriyama is better at working with someone else's stuff these days or reworking it instead of being let off the chain which resulted in Resurrection Farce. The most pointless thing to ever exist in Dragon Ball. Fans of most fiction just generally subscribe to this notion that the original creator is always the best ergo they're willing to give him or her a pass for stuff that's blatantly awful. Unless you're George Lucas but even then I think that has more to do with everyone getting butthurt over the Overrated- I mean Original Trilogy getting changed in following releases more so than anything else. |

Realistically, it seems impossible that an Android storyline would happen in the first place unless they tried to rationalise it with an explanation somewhere along the lines of Gero scavenging PTO technology and Frieza DNA from the wreckage site to make his cyborgs wield SSJ level potential with a stored memory unit of all the fighting styles and tactics of the Z-Warriors courtesy of the spy drone. You can't vindicate what was shown in RoF with Frieza at 1.3 million in his first form being powerful enough to blitz Base Gohan because it doesn't make sense. Frieza's opponent would have either needed to have weakened a massive amount for that to occur or he became so tired from incapacitating the fodder army that he was reduced to a comparable state like Piccolo who was being pressured by Shisami the red Zarbon. The Androids being strong enough to fight the good guys isn't necessarily a problem for me. My problem lies in the fact that the 17 and 18s rampage even last a quarter as long as it did because of Namek. There's no way in hell that everyone in Otherworld wouldn't come up with a plan to spend a few years training their asses off, learning things like the Kaio-ken then using the Dragon Balls of New Namek with some communication aid from King Kai to revive the fallen Z-fighters and repair the Lookout if 17 and 18 somehow destroyed it. From that point on, even if Piccolo is the only one left from the revived fighters who can stand up to them, he can still take Gohan into the ROSAT a couple of times and both would return infinitely more powerful than before. Hell, the dead Z-fighters could even use the Dragon Balls to teleport the still living Gohan to Otherworld so he can train too. And this is if Goku fails to convince Yemma to let Vegeta keep his body. There's simply no way the Androids should've gone on unchallenged in the Future Timeline, New Namek along with King Kai's communication ability makes it impossible for everyone but Goku to stay dead. That's why the future timeline perfectly represents why the Android & Cell Saga doesn't work at all, the good guys have too many viable loopholes to abuse for them to eve realistically lose. In the future timeline the dead Z warriors no longer have their bodies with them. All of them have moved on. Goku after dying in the future timeline is also no longer with king kai. He also doesnt keep his body like the rest of the dead Z warriors who are dead. Also King Kai isn't allowed to communicate with the Earthlings just like that. There are a set of Protocols which he needs to adhere in order to keep his job. |

Kami urged Yemma to keep Goku's body due to the threat of the Saiyan's and likely helped Piccolo keep his own to aid everyone else during the events on Namek. There's no way Kami would, knowing his planet is in danger along with Goku, who would 100% go to Otherworld before Heaven if given the option, would simply stand by and move on peacefully while the planet is at risk of the Androids, especially if Gohan was the only survivor. King Kai also doesn't need to contact Gohan or New Namek directly, he can let anyone else do it like Goku or Piccolo or even Kami. Once again, no. f***ing. way. does the future timeline have even a snowballs chance in the hotest depths of hell from proceeding as it does. Unless all the characters are either a***** or morons which Toriyama ruthlessly writes them as during these events. |

Thats the thing Goku died about 5/6 months before the androids arrive. So, Goku by the time the androids arrive has already moved on. Whereas, Piccolo, kami and the rest of them are taken out by suprise. So kami didn't have the time to inform the other world to keep their bodies after they die. Hence all the Z warriors who die dont keep their bodies and have moved on. |

Re: Trunks's Future Vegeta's doesn't have a body and is in Hell. Goku died of natural causes, so he can't be revived. Piccolo might not have a body because of his track record. Him receiving one after the battle with the Saiyans may have just been the result of Kami making a deal with Enma. Realistically, only the Earthlings would be able to train, and I'm sorry, but I don't see them getting anywhere close to as strong as the Artificial Humans, so reviving them would be pointless. The best that could be done would be to have Goku inform Gohan of the ROSAT, but even then, his premature death may have resulted in a lack of a body too, who really knows? |

Goku would still get notified of what happened on Earth by King Kai, so even if he isn't with him, there's no reason King Kai wouldn't tell him of the Android attack. Kami also never notified the likes of Grandpa Gohan to keep their bodies yet he has it anyway so he can fight Goku in the Baba Saga. Kami also doesn't tell Yemma to keep Goku's body after Cell blows himself up yet in the afterlife he has it anyway, meaning that the dead, once deemed fit enough to keep their bodies just keep them by default unless they committed heinous acts after being resurrected. Kami also dies at the same time as Piccolo which is also the exact same time the others die, meaning they all come to the check in station roughly at the same time. Kami can still argue for their bodies to be kept anyhow if that technicality is really such a big deal. Vegeta might get sent to hell anyway, but who needs him. Just give Piccolo a couple years in Otherworld, fuse him with the revived Kami and he'd kick the Androids asses just fine by himself. |

I don't think it has to do with glorifying toriyama. Honestly I think it has to do with a lot of YouTuber dbz fans not knowing much about the series. I've seen videos of people with tens of thousands of subscribers talking about stuff and I'm just like wtf no |

Such as? The only DBZ-tuber I'm subscribed to is Geekdom101, so I don't usually hear what the majority of the community has to say about Super and GT all that often. |

A lot of the Super = GT criticms comes from people who think Dragon Ball is dark, gritty and realistic and should take itself really super seriously which GT and Super often don't. |

DBZ certainly wasn't realistic. Dark and gritty? Perhaps in the Cell arc, or more appropriately in Future Trunks' timeline where he lived under the tyranny of the cyborgs with most of his allies deceased and much of the population exterminated, but even with the main timeline there was humour injected into key moments like Mr Satan at the Cell Games that livened it up from becoming an otherwise completely "serious" in nature arc. The Namek and Saiyan arc had plenty of brutality and face-in-the-dirt kind of aggression, albeit the former's ambiance is again brightened to a degree thanks to the wacky antics of the Ginyu Force and Goku comically biting Frieza's tail. If you ask me, the Dragonball series is by no means compelling in terms of story or atmospherically dark in the same sense that some manga would be considered. Even on its best day, I think DBZ is mediocre or average in that regard. |

Regarding the future timeline, whatever happened to Goku getting 24 hours to deal with s***? He was allowed that time to enter a martial arts tournament, so surely you'd think he'd be allowed to do the same to save the world he once lived in. It's true about the Toriyama w***ing though. The same people that fault GT for a messy power structure make up piles of excuses for Toriyama's bulls*** in ROF...because it's Toriyama and he can do no wrong. He could make another movie post-Boo where Goku turns Super Saiyan 3 "for the first time ever!!!"—so you can see the obvious stupidity in that—and the supporters would still make up an excuse for it. |
